Jae and Rayna Harvey got married as husband and wife in Dallas, Texas, in 2018, but during their honeymoon, Rayna revealed to Jae that she was transgender. Jae supported Rayna through her transition, and Rayna underwent hormone therapy, an orchiectomy, breast augmentation, facial surgery, and full penis removal. She changed her name, driver’s license, and passport, and will now renew her wedding vows with Jae as two women. However, the process to obtain a gender recognition certificate from the government has been challenging, and they want to be visible as a couple moving forward.
